Vascular Surgery

            Vascular Surgery is the surgical treatment of medical conditions associated with and related to the blood vessels or vascular system. Our vascular surgeons specialize in the utilization of the latest techniques and tools to perform the most minimally invasive surgery possible for a wide array of disorders.          

            Vascular surgeons can often use endovascular (“within the vessel”) techniques to treat vascular conditions.  Endovascular catheters are inserted through very small incisions to treat anything from a blocked vessel to a large abdominal aortic aneurysm.  The same endovascular techniques can be used to treat carotid artery stenosis (narrowing of the carotid artery).  These minimally invasive techniques cause much less pain for the patient and allow the patient to be discharged from the hospital more quickly.          

            Our vascular surgeons are also experts in minimally invasive techniques to treat problematic varicose veins.  In addition to traditional surgical interventions, treatment methods include sclerotherapy and laser ablation therapy.
