Dr. Donelle Rhoads is a magna cum laude graduate of Gwynedd Mercy College who was awarded a medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in June 1995. After completing her internship and residency at the Lankenau Hospital, she joined Surgical Specialists, P. C. in June 2000 at the Bryn Mawr and Paoli locations.  She currently works at the West Chester location seeing patients in the Fern Hill Office.

           

            Dr. Rhoads, who is a board certified general surgeon and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, has a special interest in women’s health issues, robotically-assisted surgery and in furthering the advancement of delivering quality and efficient health care.  A robotically trained surgeon, Dr. Rhoads performs these procedures, which provide patients with a faster recovery, shorter hospital stay and less pain and risk of infection, at The Chester County Hospital.

 

            At Surgical Specialists, Dr. Rhoads is very involved in all practice related issues and is a particularly active participant on the EMR committee where she assists her colleagues in understanding, training and adapting to the CMS requirements of Meaningful Use.
