Pamela T. Demnicki, M.D. joined Surgical Specialists, P.C. in
2010. A cum laude graduate of Georgetown University, Dr.
Demnicki received her medical degree from The University of
Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She completed her
general surgery residency at The Medical College of
Pennsylvania-Hahnemann University in Philadelphia.
Prior to joining Surgical
Specialists, Dr. Demnicki was in private practice for eleven
years at Bayhealth Medical Center in Milford, Delaware. She
served as Medical Director of Trauma Services at Milford
Memorial Hospital. In addition to chairing the Trauma
Department , she served on the Credentials Committee and the
Medical Executive Committee.
She was named Top Doctor
in Delaware Today Magazine in the categories of Surgeons for
Women in 2006 and General Surgery in 2009.
Since joining Surgical
Specialists, P.C., Dr. Demnicki has become an active leader on
the medical staff of Chester County Hospital holding positions
on both the Cancer Committee and the Medical Staff Advisory
Panel for Information Technology.
Her particular areas of
interest include general surgery, colon and rectal surgery,
endocrine surgery, breast surgery, laparoscopic surgery and
robotic surgery.
Dr. Demnicki has a
special interest in robotic surgery and has fully incorporated
robotics into her practice, regularly using robotic technology
for operations involving the gallbladder, colon, hernias and
many other abdominal procedures. Through her interest in robotic
surgery, she helped to establish the General Surgery Robotics
Program at Chester County Hospital. She routinely uses single
site robotic technology, completing many operations through a
single small incision. As one of the first general surgeons in
the area to adopt robotic technology, she is a sought after
proctor and trains other general surgeons throughout the region.
