Meet Dr. Fried
After completing his surgical training and clinical research at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in 1987, Dr. Robert Fried joined the medical staff of the Paoli Hospital which he has served more than twenty years. A board certified general surgeon, he was one of the first surgeons in Chester County to incorporate laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgery into his practice. He also has a special interest in diseases of the breast and is the Director of the Holloway Breast Center.
In addition to his busy clinical practice, Dr. Fried has chaired and participates on many Hospital Committees and holds numerous appointments within the Main Line Health System.
Currently, he holds the posts of Chief of the Department of Surgery and Vice President of Medical Affairs at Paoli Hospital. Previously, Dr. Fried served as the President of the Hospital’s Medical Staff as well as the Chief of Staff for the Main Line Health System.
Dr. Fried is a member of numerous local and national organizations and has authored several publications. He has been the recipient of many awards and honors including being named Best Doctor in both the Philadelphia Magazine and the Main Line Today.
